Nary a one of you reading this is stumped by how to finish this sentence. No matter what path we have traveled to this point in our journey, we have heard that as certain doors close, new ones always open. It’s a principle we can count on. And the new doors are always leading us to the next better place for us to be to experience that next level of knowledge or a deeper spiritual awareness or perhaps a detour that, at first, seems like a wrong turn but ends up being exactly where we had always hoped to go but hadn’t dared to reveal to any one.
The real point of this is that there is never anything to be afraid of. Wherever we are is the perfect place to be at any moment and we are always being accompanied by the companion God has sent to watch over us. Call him your guardian angel, the Holy Spirit, or just your friend. He doesn’t care. All he cares about is that you know he’s there and that you have nothing, absolutely nothing to worry about. Rely on him for all answers and peace will be your experience.
If you are like me, you might not have grown up with this bit of spiritual philosophy as a guideline. It wasn’t part “of the handbook” passed on to me by my parents. We weren’t a church going family even though I always assumed we were “believers.” It was a fear-based family instead; and the idea that a “hovering angel” was watching over me simply was never suggested.
How I wish it had been. Thousands of hours of debilitating anxiety might have been avoided, and yet I do believe that when the door finally opened to the set of beliefs I now hold, I was ready to walk through it. I needed to progress to where I was on the continuum of life or the door might have been reclosed by me after one look inside.
We are ready when we are ready. And not before. That’s actually comforting. What it means to me is that I will have all the time I need for the next stage of growth, whatever that may be. The only time line is my own. God is not trying to hurry me along. What I need to learn will not disappear from my horizon. It will wait on me until I am ready for it. How great is that?
Have you been upset by a closing door some time in your past? Can you see, now, why it needed to close and the blessings that have come your way since the new door opened? If you haven’t recently taken stock of this, do so now. Being aware of God’s many “appearances” will take your breath away.

I simply needed to thank you so much once again. I do not know the things I could possibly have carried out without the actual techniques contributed by you concerning such question. It has been a very frightening concern in my opinion, however , understanding this specialized fashion you managed the issue made me to leap with fulfillment. Now i am happier for your support as well as wish you realize what an amazing job you have been accomplishing training others through your web blog. Probably you have never got to know any of us.

As my sponsor reminds me….
One door closes, and another opens – but it’s hell in the hallway!
PS – Still tourin’ the backroads on your Harley these days?

jaywalkerHi Bobby,
Actually sold it. Decided old bones didn’t heal fast enough. Joe is building a full-scale airplane so that’s our mode of transportation. Thanks for responding to the blog. I hope we can hook up one of these days. Did a program at Project Turnabout recently and Mike and I talked about the small group of CEO’s who meet quarterly. Would love to present there some time.
Be well,
Karen

Hi Karen, I just had a door close and was a bit fearful. Thank you for this reminder. I knew my options were not over but, I like seeing it this way better and will hold the love of the Holy Spirit close to me. I am blessed for the life I have and am reminded that I will get just what I need. Thank you for all you do. My Love to you, Mark.
