Connection is a powerful gift that we give one another. . .

I have spent the last two hours reading your comments to my posts.  Every couple of days I do that and I respond to a great many of them.  First let me say to all of you: I am extremely gratified that you have become readers and even more gratified that so many of you have taken precious time to respond to a particular post that spoke to you. I didn’t realize that would even happen when I began this blog last year, and it didn’t happen immediately.  In fact, the first few months I wasn’t even sure any one was reading the blogs.  And then you started showing up.  Since then my life has felt blessed many times over.  It’s an experience akin to getting emails and personally hand written letters from people who have purchased one or another of my books and taken the time to write.  I can’t adequately express what hearing from “the public” means to some one like me.  The connection we make is the very reason I keep writing.

As some of you reading this know, I have been writing books since 1982.  (Please refer to my web site: www.womens-spirituality.com) My first book: Each Day A New Beginning, has been in circulation for decades and has sold millions.  And since its publication, I have written another 24 books and intend to keep doing exactly what I am doing now.  I feel compelled to continue sharing the messages from my inner voice, either in books, blog posts or the many workshops I do around the country and internationally too, for the rest of my working life.  Every time I hear from one of you in response to some thing I have said, in a book, a blog or a workshop; I know that I am fulfilling the purpose I have been created to fulfill.  My life feels blessed every single day.

Let me be clear, it’s the connection we are making that’s the blessing.  We all want to be “recognized” by our contemporaries.  We want a witness to our existence, our life, our work and that’s what you provide for me every time you make a comment to some thing I have said that has resonated with you.  I hope I am adequately expressing to you now just how crucial your words are.  And please be aware that every one you encounter on your path today, any where, is deserving of your taking careful notice too.  We need witnesses for our existence in every instance.  Let’s all cherish that assignment.  It’s the most important one God has handed down to us.
